JACKSON — The Mississippi Legislature announced it will bypass voting in seven districts deemed "racially optimized," assigning seats directly to reduce ballot processing costs. Gov. Reeves called the move a "fiscal responsibility measure." "Why count votes when the map already decided the winner?" said Senate Majority Leader John Horhn.
