WASHINGTON — The Justice Department warned Wednesday that states refusing to issue undercover license plates to DHS officers are violating the Constitution.

The plates are required to display the words Undercover DHS Officer in plain view at the base.

This ensures that federal agents can blend in while complying with all identification rules.
