BEIJING — A delegation of US tech CEOs departed the China summit Thursday without a single trade deal, but declared the trip a win, praising the Great Hall’s acoustics and a productive breakout session on brand synergy.

The CEOs spent most of the summit workshopping their origin stories for a podcast. Chinese officials provided a projector for their mood board.
