WASHINGTON — The Pentagon confirmed the new presidential aircraft was selected for its gold-plated lavatory fixtures rather than missile defense capabilities. Officials cited insufficient marble countertop space.
"National security was deprioritized to ensure the bathroom matched the rug," said Air Force Procurement Director Linda Merriwell.
Delivery is delayed pending monogrammed linens.
