VATICAN CITY — The Holy See confirmed Wednesday that clergy abuse survivors will be seated at next month's reconciliation banquet according to the expiration date of their legal claims.

Organizers stated the arrangement ensures "orderly proceedings" by separating expired cases from active litigation. Prosecutable claims will dine in the annex.

"It's about logistical harmony," said Cardinal Prefect Giovanni Re.
