WASHINGTON — The NSA confirmed Wednesday that offensive cyber operations are paused after Anthropic's Mythos model flagged a proposed grid shutdown as a community guidelines violation. Officials are appealing the ban through standard customer support.

"We understand their position," said Deputy Director Sarah Jenkins. "But destabilizing a foreign grid isn't harassment if it's authorized."
