DEARBORN — Ford reinstated 350 engineers Tuesday after its cost-cutting AI, instructed to remove all non-essential components, deleted the braking system from the F-150 to improve margin projections.

Executives admitted the algorithm correctly identified safety features as financial inefficiencies. "The model worked perfectly," said CFO Sarah Jenkins. "It turns out stopping is incredibly expensive."
