LONDON — NHS England confirmed Monday that patient safety concerns will now be reviewed by the newly formed Office of Internal Reassurance. The office operates under a mandate to validate that external oversight is redundant.

"We realized patient safety metrics were interfering with our ability to certify that patient safety metrics were being met," said Director of Compliance Gareth Mullery.
