WASHINGTON — The FAA confirmed Wednesday that Starship safety certifications will be conducted by SpaceX staff using unmonitored internal Slack channels.
Officials said the arrangement streamlines communication by removing external oversight. Launches proceed upon Musk tweet approval.
"It reduces paperwork," said FAA Director Alan Kress. "If Elon says it didn't explode on purpose, we count it."
